Inspection Schedule for Iola Sewer (UPDATED START DATE)

Starting April 27, 2026, PA Rural Water will be inspecting the Iola sewer system for the Municipal Authority. The inspection could last up to 14 business days. There will be people on private property with GIS mapping equipment and sewer line camera inspection vehicles.

They will be looking for line breaks, damage to pipes & manholes and illegal hook ins of roof drains and basement sump pumps.

Iola sewer customers should be aware that no storm water should be piped into the sanitary sewer system from these sources. Violators will be subject to fines & penalties under EPA guidelines.

Sewer Billing and Past Due

Greenwood Township Municipal Authority (GTMA) has engaged the services of HAB-Berkheimer to handle GTMA’s quarterly sewer billing and past due account collections.

Starting the 1st quarter of 2025, HAB-Berkheimer will be handling all billing and account collections for GTMA. To avoid issues, it is recommended that all accounts be paid in full or have a payment plan in place before the 1st quarter billing April 1, 2025.

What does this mean for GTMA customers? HAB-Berkheimer can offer on-line bill pay and on-line account access. You can also mail the payment to the address listed on the Berkheimer bill or payments can still be made in person at the township building.

When you receive a Utility Bill & want to make an online payment, please note you must enter the 6 digits before the dash, the dash and the 7 digits after the dash. If your bill does not have this, please add leading zeros. Example: If the account# reads 12345-12345, on the online payment screen you would need to enter 012345-0012345.

Online payments can be made at Per Capita Tax, Occupation Tax, Real Estate Tax & Utility Bill Payments – Berkheimer then under the section for “Per Capita Tax, Occupation Tax, Real Estate Tax & Utility Bill Payments (HAB-MISC)” click the Pay Online button.

All delinquent accounts will be turned over to CrediTech for collection action. GTMA will no longer collect money for accounts that have been sent for collection actions. Contact CrediTech directly for payment options.

Sewer problems, questions or concerns will still be handled by GTMA directly, only billing and collections are being handled by HAB-Berkheimer.

MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY MEETINGS

Greenwood Township Municipal Authority meet on the third Thursday of January, March, May, July, September, and November at 4:00 PM as necessitated by work load.

All meetings will be held at the Greenwood Township Municipal Building, 90 Shed Road, Millville, PA 17846.
